IPL 2019 Schedule

IPL Match Schedule 2019 Time Table

IPL time table 2019 is placed here. The forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League will be the 12th ever with eight teams featuring yet again in the competition that will be played in 2019.

The 2019 IPL schedule full fixtures were released on the 19th of May. Scroll below to the view the dates and venues for all matches.

Usually, the Indian Premier League is played in the months of April and May but this time, the tournament will be played before the usual start from 23rd March and the final will take place on May 12 at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad. This is due to a couple of reasons. One, the cricket World Cup will be played this year and unlike the World Cups of 2011 and 2015, the competition will begin towards the end of May rather than finish in April. The tournaments will run back to back giving fans a feast of cricket and something to look forward to between the months of March and July in 2019. The match timings have also been set and the games will take place at 4 pm and 8 pm. That will then be followed by the Cricket World Cup, which takes place between May 30 and July 14.

The IPL council have tried to hold the tournament a few weeks before they usually do and finishing it in time to allow players some rest going into World Cup. With the World Cup starting out in the last week of May, it would give the teams ample time to leave for the UK and acclimatize for the competition with the IPL having been done.

The format of the tournament is expected to remain the same, what with the eight IPL teams facing off in a home and away competition. Each team will play 14 games in the IPL this time as has been the case last year and at the end of this league phase of the tournament, the top four will qualify for the playoffs. Four playoffs matches, including the final, will be played to decide the winner.

It won’t be long until we are on the countdown to the 2019 edition of the IPL. This will be the 12th time this great T20 competition will take place and over the years we have seen some memorable moments, involving some of the very best cricketers in the world. There are eight teams involved in the 2019 edition, each of them representing a city in India and going head to head against each other.

Cricket lovers are going to have a great time in 2019, with back to back competitions putting together the very best players in the world. Starting with the IPL between March and May we will see the big-hitting T20 format take centre stage before the 50 over format takes over at the end of May until July with the World Cup taking place.

Having witnessed exciting seasons in the history of the Indian Premier League, many of us cannot wait for the next season to begin already. For those of you who want to see the stars in action at the stadium, the online booking of IPL tickets details will be placed here.

It is yet again that time of the year, when you argue on your favourite team with your peers, when you are looking forward to action and entertainment, when you pray hard for your team to win and your favourite player to outshine the rest; it is yet again that time of the year when the most-awaited cricket tournament will be played in your cities, and aired on the television live.
