IPL 2018 40th Match: RR vs KXIP Match Predictions
Three straight defeats have sent the Rajasthan Royals to the bottom of the IPL table, a place they definitely don’t want to be, but unfortunately they have been very poor in recent games. The Kings XI Punjab has two slip ups losing two games recently, but bounced back with a victory this weekend against their opponents here the Royals, so they will be hoping they are back on track. Both teams really need the two points here, but for very different reasons, meaning we should get a good game although the Kings XI certainly head into it as the favourites to win. Who will win 8th May RR vs KXIP prediction is placed below.
The Royals have only won three of their nine games so far in what has been a very disappointing season for them. They struggled against the Kings XI on Sunday, and with these games being just two days apart, nothing suggested that they would be capable of turning around the form from that game. After reaching just 152 with the bat, the Royals always looked to be up against it, and the Kings XI knocked that off with ease, scoring 155/4 from 18.4 overs without really looking in trouble at any point of the game.
In that game Jos Buttler let the way from the front for the Royals with 51 runs from 39 balls although that wasn’t enough to match the great effort from KL Rahul. He finished not out, scoring 84 from 54, holding together the Kings XI despite them losing two quick wickets. His partnership with Karun Nair steadied the ship, while Marcus Stoinis helped to finish the job off. The Kings XI looked in full control of the game, and always looked like they would be able to chase down even more if they needed to, but didn’t require it on Sunday. RR vs KXIP IPL 2018 Prediction
After watching these two take each other on over the weekend, the Kings XI looked by far the better team and it would be a real shock if the Rajasthan Royals were able to overturn them. The Royals are really struggling for form at the bottom of the table right now, and are in desperate need of a boost although I don’t think they will be getting it on Tuesday when they play the Kings XI again. I am going to back the Kings XI to win this game comfortably, and continue their push to get back to the top of the IPL table.
