The IPL opening ceremony will take place on April 7, 6:15 pm IST onwards and yet again it is expected to be a huge event that will start the world’s best T20 cricket competition with a bang. During the IPL inauguration, cricket meets entertainment, and we are going to see some big names from the world of Bollywood on stage and entertaining those who are watching. Others would have found getting to the ground, and back home very difficult, especially as games are scheduled for the afternoon after the event. While it is disappointing to see that players will miss out on the experience, preparing for their first game of the tournament is much more important.
The captains from each club will all record a video message for fans prior to the event on April 6, and these will be played during the opening ceremony. While the players themselves will probably not mind about missing the ceremony, and instead can focus on their cricket, fans are the ones missing out on seeing their stars.
The IPL season is about to begin, and we are just days away from what is sure to be an exciting few weeks of cricket.
