Indian Premier League IPLT20 Dates for DLF IPL 2012 announced. IPL 4 just ended and Chennai Super Kings emerged champions for the second time in a row beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in a one-sided final. While there were many apprehensions about smooth going of the season, to everyone’s surprise it ended up super smooth with 10 franchisees vying for the top spot. Now that’s passé, what’s new about Indian Premier League is that of announcement coming today that the fifth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2012) will commence from April 04, 2012.
According to an announcement by BCCI on June 27, 2011 the IPL 5 will start from April 4, 2012 and conclude on May 27 2011 with the inaugural match being played in Chennai, the BCCI announced on Monday. That makes the series run for 54 days and features 10 franchisees with 74 matches including play offs.
The current IPL Chairman, Chirayu Amin said in a statement issued by the BCCI “We are happy to confirm the opening and closing dates of IPL 2012, ten months in advance. The match-schedule will be announced soon. We have no doubt that the fifth season of IPL will be as, if not more, eventful and exciting than the previous ones.”
CSK with a formidable bowling and consistent batting courtesy Badrinath and Murali Vijay under the able guidance of MS Dhoni looks invincible unless the other franchise managements start working seriously from now. KTK players will participate in IPL 2012. The IPL 2012 Auction will be held for KTK players and other players on late January or Early February next year.
